By now I'm sure most of you will be aware of the precarious position of self-employed musicians in the UK.
Thousands of people whose livelihoods depend on creating the things you love are staring at months of literally no income, overnight. There aren’t many of us that could handle such a financial shock and we're all looking around at how we can get through this challenging time.
To that end, we're going to start featuring individual members of the London Jazz Orchestra on our Facebook page as well as here on our website where you can help support them by buying their music and/or merchandise.
First up is our lead alto player, Martin Speake, where we've shared the details of his beautiful album "Intention". Martin is also available for remote lessons, where he can teach either saxophone or improvisation for any instrument.
If you were intending to come to an LJO gig this month, please consider showing your support by buying a CD or two from members of our band instead. If you can't come to us, let us come (virtually) to you.
